Any self respecting parent recognizes the pain the first time they leave their baby in the care of someone else. You worry; "Can they handle an emergency?" "What happens if something goes wrong?" Daddy Cakes® experienced that angst and pull on the heart strings this weekend....because last weekend we had to hand our baby batter over to the heavy hitters at the Orange Little League. The Little Leagues Pancake Breakfast was a fundraiser involving about 1,500 participants and no one from the Daddy Cakes® team could be on hand to help insure that the event went smoothly. We called to check in only to receive a voicemail. The silence was unsettling....we sent an email, still no reply.....
Then tonight we received word....all went well and our baby did just great even without us. Here's the message and some of the pictures from the event:
"Saturday was AWESOME! The breakfast went great.
There were quite a few people who said "I just read about this company the other day in the paper".
The Little League was SO appreciative! Here are a few pictures..." "....I wish I had way more pictures but I was behind the table selling mix, which did pretty well. We sold out of all the tins really fast!
I hope it’s ok with you but I’m meeting with the PTA Executive board in the morning and would like to show them the banners, buckets etc. I spoke with them last week and they are SO excited to have you at our school. They are thrilled with the idea of pairing up with a local family business rather than the ‘big fundraising companies’ like Sally Foster and See’s Candy. (not to mention the mass appeal and healthy option)"
Thanks for taking care of our baby and we are happy to hear that it was well behaved.
